This stunning and graphic Art Deco Machine Age skyscraper style table lamp in the manner of Donald Deskey was realized in the United States circa 1935. It features a volumetric square base in black lacquer with three forms of the same shape and material stacked above separated by thick translucent glass sheets. The lamp is finished with brass fittings which offer a stunning material counterpoint to the glass and black lacquer exhibited throughout the piece. With its dramatic silhouette (showcasing skyscraper style design in a distilled and captivating way) and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The lamp comes fitted with a custom shade.
