This stunning pair of Machine Age Art Deco uplights were realized in the France, circa 1935. They feature skyscraper style circular bases consisting of brass topped with exotic marble carved into an hourglass form. This shape is reiterated in the brass forms (the lower of which adjoins the marble) that frame a translucent glass ball- a leitmotif of Machine Age design. The urn form shade in patinated bronze is banded with 24-karat gold striations and features stepped skyscraper style detailing at the base of its body. With its iconically Art Deco details and beautiful construction, these uplights are sure to delight discerning collectors of the period.
