This elegant and graphic Art Deco Machine Age uplight was realized by the celebrated designer Walter Von Nessen circa 1935. It Features a circular black enamel base from which streamlined fittings in the same material ascend. These fittings hold a wealth of frosted glass cylindrical shades of differing lengths created a staggered effect and skyscraper style silhouette- evoking the modern city skyline. There are brass fittings throughout. With its clean modernist lines and iconically Art Deco Machine Age motifs (streamlined, skyscraper style forms), this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period.
