Art Deco Streamlined Cylindrical Form Table Lamp in Glass & Polished Nickel
Art Deco Streamlined Cylindrical Form Table Lamp in Glass & Polished Nickel
This elegant Art Deco Machine Age table lamp was realized in the United States circa 1935. It offers a volumetric rectangular base in polished chrome with three raised cylindrical embellishments (in the same material) that house three clusters of translucent glass rods that collectively created streamlined columns. These cylindrical forms are secured at top with a scalloped and streamlined support (in lustrous chrome) and fastened on top with chrome convex rivets. With its striking formal counterpoints and clean modernist lines, this table lamp is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The fixture accommodates two Edison based bulbs offering up to 200 watts of light, and comes fitted with a custom shade.
