This Art Deco Table Lamp in Black Lacquer w/ Chrome Detailing after Donald Deskey originates from the United States, Circa 1935. Features a circular body finished in gleaming black lacquer, with three convex circular chrome accents to the left on the body, relating to the circular form of the lamp and emphasizing vertical movement. The base is composed of a curved band of chrome beneath two spheres that the body of the lamp rest on with the center cylindrical rod visible between the spheres. Made after the design characteristics of Donald Deskey, a pioneer of Art Deco and well known for his intelligent use of geometric forms and beautiful materials. While at an accessible and versatile scale, this lamp has a bold material quality and will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this lamp accommodates one Edison base bulb achieving up to 100 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
