Mid Century Modern Brass and Handblown Translucent/ Topaz Murano Glass Chandelier
This sophisticated Mid Century Modern chandelier was realized in Italy, circa 1970 by the esteemed atelier of Mazzega. The fixture offers eight cylindrical brass rods of staggered lengths that descend into a concave globular translucent handblown Murano shade illuminating it from within. This spherical Murano form offers a wealth of Murines as well as a translucent honeyed topaz band near the base, that makes the glass appear nearly planetary. With its beautiful artisanal construction and refined aesthetic, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The chandelier accommodates eight candelabra based bulbs offering up to 480 watts for the fixture. The height can be adjusted to suit.
