This elegant set of 12 Art Deco plates were realized by Minton for the esteemed American luxury maker Tiffany in England circa 1930. They feature circular bodies with subtly raised cobalt borders and gilded perimeters. The cream interior of each plate has a recessed center whose edge is also finished in lustrous 24kt gold. The center of each plate offers a stylized floral bouquet motif consisting of an arrangement in gold with cobalt foliate detailing. The bouquet sits in a blue hourglass form vessel with scroll form detailing on each side and a chevron motif in its center. An undulating and striated curtain motif in 24 kt gold borders the planter with stylized neoclassical embellishments "hanging" from their bottom. With their elegant color palate, clean modernist lines, and beautiful craftsmanship these plates promise to add more than a touch of sophistication to any table setting regardless of the style of interior. They are in excellent vintage condition. Signed "Tiffany & Co. New York Made in London Mintons" on the back.
