This stunning Mid Century Modern vase was handblown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- circa 1960. It features a subtly tapered conical form that billows slightly at its scalloped top. The translucent glass body offers helix form striations presented at a bias in intertwining strands of white glass with 24kt gold centers. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful quality of glass, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
