Pair of Mid Century End Tables in Hand Rubbed Bookmatched Elm w/ Walnut Inlay
Pair of Mid Century End Tables in Hand Rubbed Bookmatched Elm w/ Walnut Inlay
This stunning pair of Mid-Century Modern geometric oval occasional/ end tables were realized in the United States, circa 1950. They feature oval tops in hand rubbed bookmatched Elm with diamond form detailing inlaid in Walnut in the center of each. This beautiful walnut detailing is reiterated on the base, as a open form square marquetry surrounds the volumetric rectangular bases of each, and also adorns each rounded corner of the rhombus form. With their clean modernist lines- full of subtle geometries- and refined palate, these tables would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly restored to mint condition.
