Mid-Century Modern Two Tier Ebonized Walnut Side/Occasional Tables w/ Brass Sabots
Mid-Century Modern Two Tier Ebonized Walnut Side/Occasional Tables w/ Brass Sabots
This graphic and beautiful pair of Mid Century Modern side/ occasional tables were realized in the United States circa 1950. They feature compass style legs with one set dynamically arched and the other straight, sitting on brass sabots and connected at their apex via two cylindrical brass embellishments. The two table top tiers are pagoda style with raised lips- an oblique nod to the influence of asian aesthetics that diffused through much of the great American Art Deco and Mid Century design. The walnut has been ebonized offering a stunning contrast to the brass throughout. They also feature inset smoked glass tops. With its clean modernist lines and fastidious attention to detail, this pair of side tables would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. Mint restored condition.
