Hand-carved wood sculpture of a seated contemplative woman by an unknown artist. Seated woman on a rectangular plinth wood. Measures: 17" x 4 1/2" x 7 1/2". The woman seated precariously upon a stack of wood, leaning forward, the left elbow on left knee, the hand dangling between the legs, the right arm bent, with elbow on right knee, the hand holding the downcast head, pulling the mouth and face in a thoughtful pose. It is signed in the base A.Calo From the estate of Maxine Pines.
