This stylish Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Tulip Form Articulating Frosted Glass Sconces W/ Brass Fittings & Black Enamel originates from France, Circa 1940. Features a shield form brass fitting from which two articulating arms emerge, fitted with two cylinders of black enamel that hold the shades in place. The shades beautifully diffuse the light of the bulbs, with tulip form curves and milk glass striations within the frosted glass surface. The arms articulate to position at a variety of angles and light spaces in a dynamic manner, with elegant proportions and highly functional. With beautiful materials and excellent balance, these sconces will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards and in Excellent Vintage Condition. Each Sconce accommodates two Candelabra Based bulbs offering 120 watts of light.
