This sophisticated and stunning pair of Mid Century Modern sconces were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature bowed bodies composed of a wealth of undulating amorphic handblown Murano semi translucent shades offering a subtle texture suggestive of ice. They are banded in the center with a curved brushed aluminum support, which offers a beautiful material and tonal counterpoint to the glass. Sleek, yet very organic and graphic, this pair of sconces would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. They accommodate 2 edison based bulbs offering up to 200 watts of light each.
