Mid-Century Modernist Geometric Rectangular Mirror in Alternating Smoked Glass
Mid-Century Modernist Geometric Rectangular Mirror in Alternating Smoked Glass
This sophisticated and unusual Mid Century Modern dimensional mirror was realized in the United States circa 1970. It features various tiers of alternating segments of smoked and plain mirror that build in height to the central rectangular clear mirrored panel. This plain mirror center is circumscribed by a larger rectangular tracing its outlining of a receding depth, which is nested with in a plain mirror rectangular of a larger size (and lesser depth). Smoked mirrored segments outline the corners of the third plain mirrored layer followed by the ultimate layer running along the perimeter in plain mirror. With its dynamic form- full of dimensionality and compelling from every angle- and refined, monochromatic palate, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
