This exquisite and highly adorned Jack Gutschneider Brooch in 18 Karat Gold W/Lapis, Diamonds, Emeralds & Rubies originates from the United States, Circa 1960. Features an expansive composition of stepped leaf shaped gold elements in which rubies and sapphires are set, with a series of 16 round cut diamonds circumscribing the central cabochon lapis lazuli. On the vertical and diagonal corners of the brooch are cabochon emeralds, larger on the vertical and horizontal axes and smaller cabochons on the diagonals. The Brooch is full of movement and glittering detail, with a mesmerizing array of various precious stones all with striking natural hue and detailing, stunningly unified by the unique gold settings. Vein like striations in the settings overlap above the set stones to keep them in place, with a large oval cabochon of Lapis Lazuli making a powerful statement in the center of the brooch. According to trademark records, last time the owner of the company filed his company trademark was on February 20, 1963. However, soon after the company ceased to exist.
