This dramatic and graphic sputnik was realized in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. It features a wealth of polished chrome rods emanating from circular body of the same material. The centres of the discs are filled with miniscule bubbles resembling effervescent water while the perimeters are free of texture. Handmade in the same manner for more than 50 years, this piece is as modern looking today as ever before. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The fixture accommodates six candelabra based bulbs providing up to 360 watts of light.
