This contemporary modernist "photon" chandelier was realized in the United States in the 21st Century. Representing the best in modern design, the fixture was named after the particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation, i.e. a burst of energy. The chandelier personifies this particle in stunning terms, offering an explosion of translucent cylindrical glass rods with beveled ends shooting outwards from an orbital polished nickel body. The bottom of the piece is capped with a circular frosted glass shade housed within a round cylindrical nickel embellishment and secured with an orbital finial in the same material. The fixture attaches to a conical canopy with a round base- all in polished nickel- via a rod in the same material. With its monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to ultra contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier is fitted with one Edison based bulb.
