This serene and brilliantly formed Mid-Century Modernist Oblong Hand-Blown Murano Glass Bowl in White with Millefiori Detailing and Translucent Edge originates from Italy, Circa 1950. Features a lovely balance of techniques and detailing, with an opaque white center which backs the lovely Millefiori detailing in a variation of hues, including orange, jade green, vermillion red, all with remarkably precise detailing within each colored murine. Spaced beautifully and lined with a translucent edge, the oblong composition of the piece features two indentations which shift in alternate directions, providing a spiral sensation to the bowl. This piece is an excellent example of the design techniques and sensibilities of Mid-Century Modernist Design and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
