Pair of Midcentury Weiss and Barr Brutalist Table Lamps for Laurel Lamp Co.
Pair of Midcentury Weiss and Barr Brutalist Table Lamps for Laurel Lamp Co.
This sculptural and dynamic pair of Mid-Century Modern lamps were designed by the illustrious Harold Barr and Richard Weiss for the Laurel Lamp Company in the United States, circa 1970. Forged in lustrous chrome- offering the appearance of quick silver- they feature a curvilinear swooping form full of energy, verve, and motion. They sit on austere and Minimalist rectangular black enamel bases which offer a clean, geometric counterpoint to the amorphic form of the body. With their clean modernist lines and neutral palate, these gorgeous table lamp would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired and are in excellent condition. The lamps come fitted with custom shades. Excellent condition.
