Mid-Century Modern Flexa Table Lamp Model 14165 by Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce
Mid-Century Modern Flexa Table Lamp Model 14165 by Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce
This sophisticated articulating table lamp was realized by influential post-war Italian lighting designer Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce, circa 1975. The lamp's single bulb is encased in a black enameled brass shade. This fixture is flanked by two parallel chrome cylinders each terminating in a tightly coiled articulating arm that connect to parallel chrome columns. A rectangular counterweight, made of black enameled brass, sits between the chrome columns and is attached to the rear of the light with a taught steel wire. By sliding the counter weight up or down, the height and angle of the light can be adjusted. A travertine plinth with beveled edges provides a solid base for this ingeniously designed (and aesthetically captivating) Mid-Century Modern lamp. Signed with manufacturer's label to underside of base: [Made in Italy Arredoluce]. Excellent vintage condition.
Italy, circa 1975.
