Mid-Century Brutalist Ceramic Table Lamp with Horizontally Striated Resin Shade
Mid-Century Brutalist Ceramic Table Lamp with Horizontally Striated Resin Shade
This beautiful Mid-Century Modern brutalist table lamp was realized in France, circa 1960. It features a spherical body in a rich umber hue with spherical detailing in brick red encircled by pierced circular incisions- a la Georges Pelletier. The tall amber semi translucent conical custom shade offers horizontal striations in white, black and mocha, which provides a nice linear counterpoint to the organic forms throughout. With its clean modernist lines and organic color palate, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition.
