Large Scale Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Table Lamps in Smoked Gold
This impressive pair of large scale table lamps were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- during the latter half of the 20th century. They feature circular brass bases from which four channeled spherical orbs in smoked gold Murano glass are stacked. These pieces are a testament to the economy of form inherent in great design. They are as simple in form as they are luxurious in spirit, and versatile too- blending with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly restored to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. They come fitted with custom shades and accommodate two Edison based bulbs offering up to 200 watts of light.
