This elegant and sophisticated Mid Century Modern sculpture was realized in the United States circa 1960. It features a curvilinear amorphic abstract body consisting of a panoply of interlacing forms. Composed of hand rubbed oak- showcasing the natural grain of the wood- this piece has a circular opening amidst the complex and dynamic form that appears either in the midst of formation or dissolution. The work is presented on a volumetric square pedestal that provides a strong formal counterpoint (with its hard edged geometry) to the curving lines of the sculpture. Beautifully crafted and uniquely compelling, this piece embodies the qualities that discerning collectors of first rate Modern sculpture adore. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid century to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
