This remarkable Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Shield Form Brushed Brass and Frosted Glass Sconces originates from the United States during the latter half of the 20th Century. They features concave shield form bodies rendered in brass with lovely curvatures and a minimal reserved elegance. The shades are spherical and formed in frosted glass, beautifully diffusing the light of the bulbs, appearing to hover within the embrace of the brass. Attaching to the wall with rectilinear backplates, these minimal yet visually striking sconces serve as an excellent example of the motifs and characteristics of Mid-Century Modernist design.
