Mid-Century Brutalist Mirror in Syroco with Bronze & Copper Mosaic Border Finish
Mid-Century Brutalist Mirror in Syroco with Bronze & Copper Mosaic Border Finish
This graphic and sophisticated Mid Century Modern mirror was realized in the United States circa 1970. It features a rectangular plain mirror center surrounded by an injection moulded thick resin plastic in a finish of bronze and copper. The rectilinear forms are presented at staggered heights and connected by cylindrical rods that spear through the floating elements. Each of these rectilinear forms offers a unique texture inscribed into its surface- at times abstract and expressionistic, and at other times wave like textures appear. Full of interesting and dynamic contrasts and offering a uniquely modernist aesthetic, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate brutalist objects. Its clean modernist lines and refined palate make this piece as versatile as it is stunning. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. Excellent vintage condition.
