Mid-Century Modernist Brass, Striated Glass & Ebonized Walnut Six Arm Chandelier
This handsome Mid-Century Modernist Brass, Striated Glass & Ebonized Walnut Six Arm Chandelier originates from France circa 1960. A stunning gem of material variation with impeccable construction and design, this fixture features six striated cylindrical globes, which have at their highest and lowest points outward tapering brass fittings capped with well proportioned machine elements re-introduced in additional sections of the chandelier. The arms from which the shades hang are composed in rectilinear brass bars, that change direction with dynamic angles, creating a pleasingly suspenseful energy to the piece. Ebonized walnut elements are attached with brass fittings to both the arms of the chandelier, as well as a central cylinder of Ebonized walnut surrounding the brass cylinder from which the piece hangs. This piece will style beautifully in a wide array of interiors and settings from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal spaces. This piece is newly rewired for American standards with a height that can be adjusted to suit. In excellent vintage condition. Takes Six Bayonet Bulbs Achieving up to a total of 360 watts of light.
