This stunning and graphic modernist chandelier was hand blown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It offers two main volumetric rectangular arms that extend outwards from a cylindrical canopy (adorned with a finial of the same form). These main arms are intersected at right angled by two shorter arms- all realized in lustrous satin brass. Each of the arms feature circular shades, circumscribed in brass, in dappled hand blown Murano glass in a frosted light blue aqua shade. Fun yet sophisticated, this piece embodies the verve and èlan that enthusiasts of first rate Italian design adore. This fixture would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates eight candelabra based bulbs offering up to 480 watts of light.
