This bold and elegant Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Square Flush Mount Chandelier in Amber & Brass by Mazzega originates from Italy, Circa 1970. Supported by a rectilinear brass canopy, the glass shade is rendered in a single piece of hand-blown Murano glass, the sides of which angle up and out towards the edges of the frame with organic linear grooves creating a stunning texture. The bottom surface of the glass shade is formed in a molten weave of deep amber hued murano glass. This energetic and artful execution puts the material attributes of the glass on full display. A brilliant example of the glass art of Mazzega, renown for their stunning pieces, this chandelier will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American standards, this piece accommodates four candelabra base bulbs achieving up to 240 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
