This sophisticated Art Deco Machine Age desk set was realized by the celebrated American maker, Victor, circa 1930. It features a inkwell/pen holder, a blotter and a clock. The inkwell offers a square body composed of translucent Lucite with a cylindrical depression in the centre intended for storing ink and a cobalt mirrored top with an orbital chrome pull on top and a trapezoid pull in front. It sits on a rectangular cobalt mirrored base with two horizontal depressions perfect for securing pens. The blotter is composed a rectangular body in cobalt mirror with a chrome top and a streamlined bottom. The clock also sits on a cobalt mirrored base with bevelled edges and skyscraper style feet in chrome. The dial reads "Victor" with machine age numbering. While this is a perfectly functional desk set- and thus an especially winning acquisition for any avid writer- it is also sure to delight any discerning collector of the period.
