This gleaming Pair of Silver Plate Shabbos Candlestick Holders W/Stylized Floral Repouse by B. Henneberg Warsaw originates from Poland, C.1880. They feature rectilinear bases providing a stable supporting surface from which the body of each candlestick rises, with ample chased line-work and hand-hammered textural detailing surrounding a repeating motif of two roses in bloom at various depths of relief. The top element is removable and features stylized geometric acanthus detailing circumscribing the edge. Achieved with remarkable precision, this rare pair of candlestick holders is a beautiful example of silver-work from the nineteenth century, and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Classical to Art Deco and Mid-Century Modernist Interiors. They each possess stamped maker's marks on the side of the base. In Excellent Vintage Condition. A family heirloom to treasure.
