This substantial and elegantly proportioned Art Deco Machine Age Copper, Chrome, and Frosted Glass originates from the United States, Circa 1930. It was used in a movie theatre in Chicago. Features a rectangular composition in bands of chrome and copper with a mottled and frosted glass shade diffusing the light of the bulbs and lending a softened sophisticated appearance to the piece. Hangs from two chrome rods with a rectangular canopy in copper. With an excellent balance and linear quality, this piece is highly characteristic of the geometric proportions and linear qualities of Art Deco design, styling beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards with a height that can be adjusted to suit. Accommodates 10 Candelabra base bulbs casting up to 600 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
