In 1950, Gianni Bruno Mazzega began working in his family's glass factory, continuing the legacy started by his father, Angelo Vittorio Mazzega, who founded AV Mazzega in 1946. Gianni Bruno's creative vision led to the creation of many beautiful lamps, further cementing the company's reputation for excellence in glassmaking.

Today, the company is guided by Andrea Mazzega, Angelo Vittorio's grandson. Since becoming president in 2000, Andrea has continued the family tradition, leading Mazzega 1946 into the contemporary market while maintaining its commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. The company collaborates with top international designers, including Christophe Pillet, Michele De Lucchi, Giovanni Barbato, Paolo Piva, Sam Baron, Gasmi Chafik, Oriano Favaretto, and Riccardo Giovanetti, to produce innovative and elegant glass pieces.
